DRIVETECH ACADEMY –TRAINING THROUGH EXPERIENCE

From first customer contact through to delivery of advanced and enhanced driver training, DriveTech has trained its teams to expect and provide the very highest levels of customer service.  This ranges from training call centre teams, training trainers and upgrading driving instructors from average to the top levels of their trade. 

Initially, we set up the DriveTech Academy to ensure any person joining the DriveTech team is fully inducted into the organisation and then provided with specific and regular personal development training throughout their career with us. 

Now DriveTech is set to offer its training programmes to other like-minded organisations who value customer service and high standards of training delivery.  Whether off-the shelf programmes, or fully bespoke training and development packages, DriveTech Academy can offer expertise in the following areas:

What DriveTech Academy can deliver you directly

Induction  -
DriveTech Academy can provide induction packages for trainers starting in the organisation.  Regardless of previous experience, potential new trainers will undertake an induction course of at least one week, increasing to two weeks for those new to the industry.  These courses ensure that any trainer delivering a course for the organisation is fully trained and prepared for any eventuality.

Driving instructor training -
With nearly 20 years’ experience in training and coaching qualified drivers of all ages and experience, DriveTech has to ensure that all of its trainers have the highest level of competence.  All DriveTech driving instructors are ADI Grade 5 or 6 – the highest possible level.

Management training 
DriveTech’s high standards of customer care and communication have been developed through a consistent approach to training and service delivery.  The Academy will soon be offering a range of non-driving based training courses for external organisations including:

  • Computer skills
  • Call handling and call centre management
  • Customer communication
  • Health and Safety at work
  • Risk management

What The Academy delivers for DriveTech’s customers

Driving - Because DriveTech provides such a wide range of courses for all types of drivers - from on-road driver awareness training for car drivers to Eco courses for van drivers - it is essential that we provide appropriately trained staff to deliver DriveTech courses to our customers.  The Academy programme for our driver training team is one of the most rigorous in the UK, meaning that every DriveTech customer receives the best possible coaching from the most qualified trainers. 

Behind the scenes - The DriveTech Academy is responsible for training all new and existing members of the ‘back room’ team.  Because of our range of customer programmes, it is essential that the whole team work together to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.  To achieve this, The Academy puts all staff through an induction programme, followed by periodic training courses, ranging from computer systems to call centre and enquiry handling.
