| Overview: |
Driver Improvement Schemes were first introduced in the late 1990s
as a direct result of a review of the Road Traffic Act called the
‘North Report’. This concluded that driver education should
be potentially offered as an alternative to prosecuting drivers for
careless driving offences and/or imposing fines and penalty points.

| Content: |
The Course consists of an initial half-day presentation and discussion
on all aspects of driving in a relaxed and informal atmosphere followed
by two half-day ‘on road’ training sessions. Vehicles
will be provided. |
