The overall aim of any road risk management programme should be to reduce injuries & accidents and the exposure to risk of the employer and the employee - see occupational road risk - why act? That’s why we consider all aspects of ‘driving at work’ - corporate, fleet, vehicle and driver policies, procedures and activities.
The assessment meeting is conducted by an experienced DriveTech risk assessor, with key client stakeholders, at the client’s premises. Our assessors are highly experienced individuals, with many years’ experience of road risk and health and safety issues. The purpose of the assessment is to provide the client with an independent and objective benchmark of the risks to which the organisation, its management and staff are exposed as a result of requiring employees to drive on company business. DriveTech has developed both a methodology and reporting tool that is at the leading edge of risk management. It encompasses all aspects of the introduction, measurement and maintenance of a safe fleet policy.
A team of experienced DriveTech associates are also available to provide on-going consultancy to assist clients with the implementation of their safe fleet programme, such as development of driver handbooks and company car policy.

The risk assessment report offers a stand-alone, objective and detailed assessment of the client’s existing risk position and therefore provides a ‘road map’ for improvement. However, it is vital that the highlighted recommendations are actioned so that tangible incident reductions and cost savings are achieved.
Rather than parachute in and then leave the client in a vacuum, DriveTech works with the client to confirm progress against the risk reduction recommendations and provide further advice and assistance, if required. A formal review 9-12 months from the date of initial assessment can also be provided. |
