DriveTech confirmed as Platinum Sponsors of Safe Drive Stay Alive 2007

16th October 2007

DriveTech (UK) plc have today confirmed that, for the second successive year, they are headline sponsors of the Thames Valley Safe Drive Stay Alive roadshow, aimed at educating young drivers about responsible and safe driving. The sixteen roadshow events will take place over two weeks in early November 2007 across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire - for more information, please go to http://www.safedrive.org.uk.

The company is already well known locally for operating the Speed Awareness, Mobile Phone Awareness, Seat Belt Awareness and Driver Improvement schemes on behalf of the Thames Valley Police and is supporting the Safe Drive Stay Alive roadshow to demonstrate their commitment to the local community and road safety in general.

Chris Howell, DriveTech (UK)'s chairman and founder, said; "We're truly proud to sponsor the road show again this year as we're convinced that Safe Drive Stay Alive 2007 will again make a difference".

“The stark reality is that over 3,000 young people - 16 to 18 years of age - were killed or seriously injured on Britain's roads in 2006. Our vision, as a company, is to ‘work together to eliminate road death and serious injuries’. Therefore, the Safe Drive Stay Alive roadshow is a unique opportunity for us to support a 'safe driving' message to young people. Its aim is to highlight the risks that they, their passengers and other road users, face on the road. In essence, we’re keen that young people really understand the consequences and impact of their driving decisions right at the start of the driving careers”.
