Bank of Scotland Chairman visits award-winning Berkshire company

28 March 2008

Peter Cummins, Chairman of the Bank of Scotland, took time out from his busy work schedule to visit the headquarters of DriveTech (UK) plc in Crowthorne, near Bracknell in late March. His visit was prompted by DriveTech winning the South England and Wales section of the 2007 Bank of Scotland Entrepreneurial Challenge.

Mr Cummins toured both DriveTech premises in Wellington Business Park and engaged in strategic talks with company Chairman Chris Howell and Managing Director Jim Kirkwood.

“Despite winning the regional Entrepreneurial Challenge competition we did not really expect a visit from a genuine captain of industry”, said Chris Howell. “It was a most welcome surprise when we received the call and very gratifying to discover that Mr Cummins was genuinely interested in the plans we have for the future.”

DriveTech is at the cutting edge of driver safety. The company provides a wide range of products and services to assist employers in reducing the huge cost of on-road collisions caused by business drivers and is also the principal supplier behind the various schemes offered by the police, where workshops can be attended as opposed to paying a fine and taking points on the driving licence.
