Drivetech Secures Contract Renewal to Deliver Level Crossing Awareness Courses

We are excited to announce that Drivetech has been awarded the contract to continue delivering level crossing awareness courses on behalf of the British Transport Police. This renewal reflects our commitment to road safety and education, and we are proud to continue this important work.

 

A Longstanding Partnership

Drivetech has been partnering with the British Transport Police since 2011 to provide these essential courses. Our new contract begins on 1 August 2024 and will run until 31 July 2026.

 

Course Benefits and Reach

The level crossing awareness course is designed to educate drivers on the dangers of not stopping at railway crossings. Participants gain a deeper understanding of the risks involved, the potential consequences of their actions, and the impact on their families, rail personnel, and the wider public.

Instead of facing a prosecution or a fixed penalty notice, which includes three penalty points and a £100 fine, drivers can choose to take this educational course. By doing so, they not only avoid the penalties but also become more informed and safer drivers.

Drivetech is committed to making our courses accessible to everyone. We offer level crossing awareness courses across England, Wales, and Scotland. Additionally, we provide courses in Welsh and British Sign Language to ensure that language is not a barrier to learning and safety.
