Leading UK provider of driver offender re-education courses, Drivetech, has secured a sole supply contract with Sussex Police, starting in May 2025, to deliver police-referred driver offender courses across the county.

The business is currently delivering courses under the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) on behalf of multiple police forces. The new contract further expands Drivetech’s nationwide footprint. The move also builds on Drivetech’s successful retention of the Metropolitan Police framework, which covers delivery across eight additional regional forces, and follows the brand’s additional contract retention of NDORS course provision to Merseyside Police, confirmed earlier this year.

The update reflects Drivetech’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality programmes and to boosting driving excellence and road safety across the UK.

Roger Ison, logistics and police relationship manager, Drivetech, said: “We are extremely proud to have been selected by Sussex Police as a trusted partner in delivering driver education programmes. This is testament to our robust course content, consistent delivery standards, and of course, to the dedication of our training teams too. We hold the belief too that education offers a supportive framework for fostering safer driving habits and can be far more effective than relying on punitive measures as an agency for change.

“Our work contributes directly to improving driver behaviour and reducing incidents on the road. This new partnership will allow us to expand that impact across Sussex.”

T/Superintendent Chris Veale, Sussex Police Road Safety Team, said: “At Sussex Police we are committed to ensuring that road safety is a top priority. We’re pleased to start our new partnership with Drivetech, offering driver education courses across the county. This will be instrumental in growing awareness and education of road safety, thereby making the roads safer for all across Sussex.”

Ison continued: “The Sussex Police contract is another important milestone in our partnerships with UK police forces. Our reliability and reputation in the sector is underpinned by our strong police Net Promoter Score of 74 (world class) and a Trustpilot rating of 4.7. We’re committed to delivering effective, insightful, and respectful driver education that genuinely helps people make safer choices behind the wheel.”

Over half a million drivers attend the NDORS courses run by Drivetech, part of The AA each year, contributing to lower reoffending rates and improving public road safety across the UK.
