DriveTech attending IOSH Conference, September 2019

DriveTech News, Press Articles

DriveTech are delighted to be exhibiting at the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) 2-day conference in September.

This annual event is being held at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, UK on the 16 and 17 September 2019. It brings together a global audience of committed safety and health professionals and is organised by the highly respected Chartered body.

The event will give delegates and the organisations they work for inspirational presentations, fresh thinking, business intelligence, new updates and opportunities to make important new connections with other safety and health specialists.

DriveTech feels it is important to ensure that the on-road business community are represented and considered at this important conference and exhibition, as well as other workplace health & safety issues. Driving for and on business is a critical safety activity – with high risk exposure if drivers are not provided with adequate training and knowledge and encouraged to adopt certain positive behaviours. DriveTech will be presenting its range of driver risk management and driver training products and services - increasingly finding that this is not the sole domain of a “fleet manager or administrator” and is becoming more and more the concern of  committed workplace health and safety practitioners.

Colin Paterson, Head of Marketing at DriveTech, commented: “As a core requirement of health and safety law, and as a duty of care to employees, having a solid driving at work policy is a great start, and should of course exist in any professionally run business. We find the real additional value is to offer drivers, and perhaps most importantly those we identify as higher risk, to be offered driver training interventions on a periodic basis – to maintain high standards and correct any perceived vulnerabilities.”

Please get in touch with DriveTech if you’d like to meet up at the event itself  (we're on stand 47). To register for the event see the link below and use the Contact Us page on this website to get in touch.
