DriveTech is delighted to announce the appointment of Emma Loveday to the role of New Business Development Manager in the commercial fleet business area.
Emma joins us from Thames Water Utilities where she was responsible for the management of the business’ occupational road risk – looking after the road safety of over 3,000 employees, driving a diverse range of vehicles including 4x4s, tankers, plant machinery and LCV’s. During her tenure, she achieved a 20% reduction in vehicle incidents, resulting in significant reduction of accident and insurance premium costs and improving road safety awareness and the overall road safety culture of the business. Previously, Emma held a similar position at Mitie Group PLC, which operates one of the biggest commercial fleets in the UK.
Emma has worked in Fleet on the client side for over 8 years – with a significant focus on road safety and driver training. Her proudest achievements have been winning two Brake Fleet Safety awards during her time at Mitie. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and industry contacts that will put her in good stead for her new Business Development role at DriveTech.
Commenting on the appointment Emma said: “I am delighted to be joining DriveTech at such an important time for our industry and an exciting time in the company’s growth. We are uniquely placed to help our clients cope with rapid innovation and industry developments, all within a world class safety culture. I look forward to using my past experience and client insight to help deliver new business opportunities as we continue to improve road safety for commercial fleet operators in the UK.”
Nick Butler, Fleet Director at DriveTech, commented: “I am delighted that DriveTech has attracted someone of Emma’s calibre to the business as we enter an exciting phase of growth. Emma’s experience strengthens our sales proposition and her expert knowledge will add value to our customers”.
