Coach Driver Training Courses

Coach drivers play a vital role in the safe transportation of passengers – making sure they get where they are going safely and on time. Our courses are designed to help you meet your duty of care obligations and support at risk drivers whilst minimising your drivers’ risk.

What is coach driver training?

Coach driver training helps coach drivers to stay up-to-date with their training and qualifications and help their passengers arrive safely at their destination. Drivetech offers a range of online and on-road training including PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) Risk Assessments, Daily Vehicle Checks, Workshops and online e-learning.

What qualifications do you need to become a qualified coach driver?

To become a qualified coach driver, you can often apply to bus or coach companies directly and train on the job. Many companies will want you to have been driving for over a year and you will normally be required to undertake a PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) driver training course. You’ll also be required to train for, and receive, your Certificate of Professional Competence or Driver CPC.
