Lorries

This five-day course has been designed to arm participants with the knowledge and skills to work with increased confidence in their role as an assessor and coach for their organisation, specifically for lorry and coach drivers. Not only will they improve their own personal driving skills, they will be trained to assess others’ driving skills and to subsequently coach them to improve their standards.

On the final day of the course, they will also take the Drivetech Advanced Driving Diploma test, accredited by the DVSA

Equip yourself with cutting edge knowledge and best practice driving techniques with the DVSA endorsed AA Advanced Driving Diploma. Designed for drivers of cars, light commercial vehicles, LGVs and PCVs, the qualification is based on the principles of Roadcraft, the police drivers’ handbook.

This highly-engaging course examines the impact of a driver’s emotions on driving behaviour. Participants are encouraged to consider how their thoughts and feelings impact on their driving style, and implement strategies that will minimise frustrations and anxieties that often lead to poor decisions and increased risk. Includes coaching and advice for fuel-efficient driving. Suitable for HGV.

7 hrs.

Reducing emissions from vans is key to combatting climate change and improving urban air quality. Drivers who wish to take advantage of the new legislation must carry out a minimum of 5 hours of training on driving alternatively fuelled vehicles. Suitable for HGV.

5 hrs.

LoCITY Driving is a classroom-based course that focuses on minimising the environmental impact of buses, coaches, vans and HGVs by reducing emissions through the use of pre-journey planning and vehicle checks, fuel-efficient driving and alternative fuels.

By the end of this course delegates will be able to identify and explain the laws and regulations that a commercial driver has to abide by and to analyse the importance of tachograph law. Suitable for HGV.

There has been a growing demand from our customers for us to design an assessment specific to drivers of Large Goods Vehicles. This assessment considers if a driver has undertaken any Driver CPC training, their understanding of the Highway Code, Drivers’ Hours regulations, load safety and the Working Time Directive.
