About the course
Research shows that we only really concentrate on our driving about 25% of the time and spend the remainder on ‘autopilot’, hence the ‘All of a Sudden’ moment when it all goes wrong! Participants are therefore introduced to coping strategies to help them concentrate on their driving when it is most important.
A key coping strategy to aid concentration when driving is the Better Driving Matrix which, when implemented, will allow participants to adopt a driving style that significantly reduces their potential of being involved in an incident.
This course is recommended as part of our continued driver development programme for anyone that drives on behalf of their company.
During the workshop, participants will:
- Identify why the phrase ‘All of a Sudden’ is used so commonly
- Analyse a series of road traffic incidents
- Discover driving techniques to help minimise the risk of being involved personally
- Be encouraged to takes notes as part of an action plan to record any necessary personal driver actions identified
