  • Recognise personal triggers that cause negative behavioural change
  • Be in a position to say no when faced with situations that compromise core values
  • Use coping strategies to minimise the risk of a negative experience

About the course

The aim of this workshop is to discover the effects of emotions on driving behaviour. Simply being late for an appointment or experiencing personal life challenges can bring a range of emotions that, if not managed effectively, can change how we interact with other road users and potentially lead to life changing incidents.

This course is recommended as part of our continued driver development programme for all drivers having experienced previous training, as it forms part of the journey of continued driving risk reduction.

During the workshop, participants will:

  • Identify their situational and behavioural risk
  • Analyse their thought processes and emotional state when driving
  • Discover new techniques to manage driving risk more effectively
  • Use an action plan to record any necessary behavioural change identified
